EMERALD RESURRECTION 𓆸
An Alchemical Rite of Passage Through the Duat
EGYPT : NOVEMBER 4-16
Remembering is no longer enough. What has been remembered wants to be embodied.
Emerald Resurrection is an initiatory pilgrimage through the sacred lands of Kemet and Nubia, following the living waters of the Nile through one of the world's oldest mystery traditions. From the Osirian temples of Abydos to the Great Pyramid of Giza, we journey through an ancient alchemical pathway that mirrors the soul's own evolution—from remembrance, to transformation, to embodiment, and finally, illumination.
Travelling upstream toward the southern source of the Nile, we return to the womb of creation. Each temple becomes a living initiation, revealing a different aspect of the resurrection mystery carried within the ancient Kemetic tradition.
The emerald has long represented regeneration, flourishing life and the awakened Heart. It is the colour of Ausar (Osiris), whose resurrection symbolised the eternal renewal of life, and echoes the Hermetic Emerald tradition attributed to Djehuti (Thoth), reminding us that the inner and outer worlds continually reflect one another.
At Sesen Temple, the Heart is the true temple.
As we restore coherence within ourselves, we naturally begin restoring coherence within our relationships, our communities, and the Earth itself. Personal transformation becomes collective regeneration.
This is more than a pilgrimage through Egypt.
It is a living prayer for the resurrection of the Heart and the regeneration of the Earth.
THE EMERALD PATH 𓆸
ABYDOS | ENTERING THE DUAT
Our journey begins in Abydos, one of the oldest and most sacred pilgrimage sites of ancient Egypt, where generations travelled to honour the mysteries of Ausar (Osiris).
Here we enter the Duat - the sacred realm between worlds, where transformation begins.
Within the Osirian Mysteries, Ausar reveals the eternal nature of consciousness, while Auset (Isis) and Nebet-Het (Nephtys) teach the sacred work of gathering together what has been scattered. Anpu (Anbis) guides us across the threshold with presence and discernment, while Set becomes the initiator who dismantles what no longer serves, making space for new life to emerge.
These are living archetypes that describe the inner journey each of us must take.
Within the temple we also encounter Nefertum, the spirit of the Sesen (Lotus), whose image quietly foretells the entire pilgrimage. Emerging from the primordial waters carrying the fragrance of first light, Nefertum represents the awakened heart already waiting within us. Though not yet fully realised, the seed of resurrection has been planted.
DENDERA | OPENING THE HEART
From Abydos we continue to Dendera, the radiant temple of Het-Heru (Hathor).
Guardian of love, music, beauty, joy and the celestial mysteries, Het-Heru reminds us that transformation is not born through receptivity. Before we can embody a new way of being, the heart must soften enough to receive it.
Her temple, aligned with the stars and intimately connected with Sirius & the Pleiades, invites us into a deeper relationship with the cosmic rhythms that have guided humanity for millennia.
The journey that began through the mystery of the Duat now opens into devotion.
LUXOR | AWAKENING THE DIVINE KA
Luxor Temple has long been understood as a temple of the Divine Ka—the luminous blueprint of the awakened human.
Having remembered the eternal and opened the heart, we are invited to recognise that the divine is not separate from us, but longs to become fully embodied through us.
This is the beginning of true incarnation.
By remembering who the soul has always been.
KARNAK | THE ALCHEMICAL MARRAIGE
Our journey continues to Karnak, where we stand before Sekhmet, the radiant daughter of Ra.
Often misunderstood as a goddess of destruction, Sekhmet is, in truth, the sacred fire of transformation. Her fierce compassion burns away illusion, fear and separation, refining the heart until only truth remains.
Beside her stands Ptah, the great Alchemist, whose ancient teachings reveal that creation begins first within the Heart before it is spoken into existence. The union of Ptah's creative intelligence and Sekhmet's purifying fire reveals one of the great alchemical mysteries of Kemet: before something new can be born, what obscures its true nature must first be transformed.
Within the Memphite tradition, this sacred union gives rise to Nefertum—the Blue Lotus emerging from the primordial waters, carrying the fragrance of first light.
The pilgrimage itself mirrors this timeless sequence.
The Heart is purified.
Creation is conceived.
The Lotus begins to bloom.
EDFU | VICTORY OF LIGHT
As we continue our journey upstream, we arrive at Edfu, home of Heru (Horus) and one of the best-preserved temples of ancient Egypt.
Here we encounter the timeless story of Heru and Set—not as a battle between good and evil, but as the inner initiation of consciousness. Heru represents the awakening of the higher Self, while Set becomes the force that challenges us to transcend fear, fragmentation and the limitations of the ego.
The restoration of the Eye of Horus reminds us that true vision is born when the heart and mind come into harmony.
This is the moment where the old identity begins to dissolve, making way for a new way of seeing, living and leading.
KOM OMBO | SACRED UNION
Our journey continues to Kom Ombo beneath the New Moon in transformational Scorpio, one of the most potent moments of the pilgrimage.
Dedicated to the harmonious relationship between complementary forces, Kom Ombo reminds us that life is sustained through balance. Heaven and Earth. Masculine and feminine. Light and shadow. Human and divine.
Here we are invited beyond duality and into coherence.
As the Moon disappears into darkness, we enter the fertile space of the unseen, where transformation quietly takes root. Like a seed resting beneath the soil, the next expression of ourselves is conceived long before it is visible.
This sacred pause becomes the alchemical womb of the journey, where the heart comes into balance and a new consciousness begins to emerge.
PHILAE | RESTORING WHOLENESS
At Philae, the island sanctuary of Auset, the mysteries of restoration come full circle.
Having first encountered Auset within the Osirian Mysteries at Abydos, we now experience her medicine in its fullest expression. Through unwavering love, devotion and wisdom, she teaches that resurrection is not achieved through force, but through patiently gathering together what has been separated.
The fragmented self becomes whole.
The scattered heart remembers its unity.
The feminine current prepares us for birth.
HEISSA | THE WOMB OF REBIRTH
Leaving behind the great temple complexes, we step onto living indigenous soil, where the wisdom of the Nile continues through culture, community and relationship with the land. Here the mysteries move beyond stone and become embodied.
Surrounded by the awakening of Egyptian Blue Lotus, we meet the living expression of Nefertum. No longer encountered as an image carved upon ancient walls, the Blue Lotus rises before us from the waters of the Nile, revealing the eternal mystery of emergence. Born from the primordial waters, Nefertum embodies the first light of creation—the awakened Heart blooming into the world.
Here the alchemical sequence reaches its fulfilment.
The remembrance of Abydos.
The opening of Dendera.
The purification of Karnak.
The sovereignty of Edfu.
The balance of Kom Ombo.
The restoration of Philae.
All are gathered within the living womb of Heissa.
Together we cultivate Blue Lotus, plant trees, honour the Nile and participate in regenerative practices that restore the land. In doing so, we recognise that the resurrection of the human heart and the regeneration of the Earth are one continuous act of devotion.
This is where the new self is born.
Not apart from the Earth.
But in relationship with her.
SAQQARA & THE GREAT PYRAMID | THE CROWN OF LIGHT
Carrying the living light of Nefertum from the fertile waters of the South, we return to the sacred landscape of Memphis and Saqqara, where the creative wisdom of Ptah completes the alchemical cycle first revealed at Karnak.
What was conceived within the Heart has now taken form.
What was born through the living womb of the Nile is ready to expand.
Our pilgrimage culminates within the Great Pyramid.
Ascending through the Queen's Chamber and King's Chamber, we complete the symbolic journey from the Heart to the Crown. The current that has carried us from the depths of the Duat now rises into illumination, aligning Earth and Sky, body and spirit, human and cosmos.
The Great Pyramid becomes the final act of the rite. A beacon through which the light cultivated throughout the pilgrimage is consciously offered back to the greater whole.
Like Khepri carrying the solar disk across the horizon and Nefertem opening with the first rays of dawn, we complete the cycle of resurrection by allowing our own light to become an offering in service to life.

They were always intended to be lived.
