๐“‹น  Honoring Navratri ๐“‹น Nine Nights of the Divine Feminine

As we step out of the Eclipse Portal, cross the Equinox threshold, and walk toward the luminous 10/10 gateway, we arrive at one of the most sacred cycles of the year: Navratri. From September 22 to September 30, 2025, millions across the world will honor the Divine Feminine in her many forms โ€” nine nights, nine colors, nine aspects of Shakti, the cosmic energy that births and dissolves worlds.

At Sesen Temple, we recognize Navratri not only as a cultural festival but as a portal of awakening. It is an invitation to return to the feminine as the source of creation, regeneration, and cosmic balance. Just as the Blue Lotus rises from dark waters to bloom in radiant light, these nine nights guide us from root to crown, grounding to transcendence.

๐“‚€ The Lineage & Meaning of Navratri ๐“†ธ

In the Shakta tradition of India, Navratri is a great celebration of the Goddess Durga and her many forms. Myth tells us of her battle with the demon Mahishasura โ€” the triumph of light over darkness, of dharma (cosmic order) over adharma (chaos). Yet beyond story, Navratri is about energy: each night invokes a face of Shakti, each color a vibration that attunes the body, mind, and spirit to the cycles of the cosmos.

In villages, cities, and temples across India, people fast, sing, dance, and offer flowers and lamps. Rituals like Ghatasthapana (the installation of a sacred vessel) honor the Goddess as the womb of creation. Communities gather in garba and dandiya dances, circling as stars around a center flame. The lineage is ancient โ€” and it holds a timeless reminder: when the feminine is revered, life flourishes. When she is forgotten, imbalance reigns.

For us at Sesen Temple, Navratri resonates deeply with our own work with the Blue Lotus. Both are symbols of renewal, both invite us to rise beyond limitation into light. To honor Navratri is to remember the feminine in ourselves and our world โ€” as the force of creation, as the source of compassion, as the power of destruction that clears the way for new life.

๐“‚€ Why This Matters Now ๐“†ธ

To honor Navratri is to honor all faces of the feminine: fierce and nurturing, shadow and radiant, earthly and celestial. These nine nights are a living reminder that when the feminine is revered, culture thrives, balance returns, and the sacred cycles of life are restored.

In this rare alignment between Eclipse, Equinox, and the approaching 10/10 portal, Navratri becomes more than a festival โ€” it becomes a collective initiation. Each color, each Devi, each ritual is a step into deeper resonance with Shakti, and with the eternal lotus of awakening within us.

The Blue Lotus, our guiding flower at Sesen Temple, rises here as symbol and ally: to remember our origin in the depths, and our destiny to bloom in the light.

The Feminine is rising. The gates are open. Step through.
